I'm a 48 year old guy with a great wife and kid. I've been creative my whole life but have had more traditional management and business owner roles much of that time. I returned to school in 2005 to study art and animation and graduated in April 2007. I found my first creative job in May 2007 at Animax Entertainment where I mostly do Flash Illustration.
I pitched my first two animated show ideas in October 2007 and there was interest in one of them. I am now working with various other writers, consultants and artists to pitch this show at the KidScreen Summit in February 2008. It's always a long shot but considering I only started a few months ago I'm excited and hopeful. I've begun working on some rough ideas for several other shows and hope to pitch those this year as well.
